SAMANTHA RIGGS, INTERNTIONAL TRIBAL FUSION DANCE SHOWCASE HAFLA, FLEMING PARK LEISURE CENTRE, EASTLEIGH.

Samantha Riggs will be performing in a showcase Hafla, along with a host of other professional and amateur dancers.
Samantha is the Founder, Artistic Director, Choreographer and Lead Dancer for both Boom Boom Bollywood and The Sexy Scallywags Dance Circus in Tempe, Arizona, and is a performer with Jamila Lotus Renaissance bellydance troupe and Fyrae fire arts troupe. She has travelled the world teaching Bollywood Style Dance, Tribal Style Belly Dance, Tribal Fusion, Fire Arts and Pirate Belly Dance.
The Hafla will also feature professional and amateur dancers from the world of bellydance and tribal fusion.
Samantha will be teaching a number of dance workshops at Fleming Park over the weekend 20-21 June 09:

• Domba Tribal Combos: from the Domba Tribal Fusion Dance Group
• Tribal Fusion Combos for Adventurers
• Badass Bollywood: Dynamic ‘Hollywood Bollywood’ for all, Men, Women, over 12’s, beginners or advanced!

• Hafla: a party/celebration with music, food and dance
• Tribal Fusion: a form of modern bellydance generally referring to a combination (fusion) of many dance forms. It frequently incorporates elements of popping, Hip Hop, Breakdance, 'Egyptian' or 'Cabaret' bellydance, and modern, but often draws from many traditional forms such as Flamenco, Kathak, Bhangra, Balinese, and other folkloric dance styles.
• Heike Humphreys (professional name Akasha): teaches Tribal Style Bellydance Dance in the local area. She studied with ‘Master American Tribal Teacher’ Kajira Djoumahna of BlackSheepBellyDance.
