Top Quality. Time will tell, of course
Pretty obviously a dating site needs two things: Quality control and a membership.
As I review this site I see a brand new site with a small but growing membership. I think from the quality I've seen that the site deserves to grow well. I registered and found some really neat things:
First there is no way, unless it slips past the managers, that any nude pictures will appear on the site. This is not going to be a sleazy place at all. I'm not sure why I noticed that first, though.
The great thing is that you don't need to be a member in order to see profiles. Without registering you can browse and see pretty much everything. The only limit is that you have to register to be able to contact other members. But that only takes a minute. You aren't forced through a profile creation task like some sites.
The managers state that the site is and always will be free. That's pretty cool. I emailed them and they said "It's simple. Our business model is based on providing a great free service and allowing people to pay a very small fee for an enhanced service if they want to do that little but extra. We're membership based. No adverts, no spam, nothing objectionable. And that's why we'll make it big." The current fees when there are no special offers are 5 for 30 days, and I think that's amazingly low.
They're very cool about people's adult interests, too. There's an "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" approach. If you want your specialist interests on display they are, if not they're not. And that's under your control, and you cna switch it on and off as often as you like. And no discrimination for or against any orientaton, race, religion. If you want Christian Dating, it's here. If you want "no holds barred dating" it's here too.
I think their description is right. The site isn't a new concept. It's just better. And I especially like their emphasis on Data Privacy. It's a UK organisation and it's regulated by the UK Data Protection Act 1998 wicih is tough as you like. And their privacy policy reflects this.
Plus it's friendly. The "About Us" page is naive and charming. Help text is written for you, not for them. FAQs are helpful. Yup, I like it.
There are some really tacky sites out there. This one isn't. It looks like one you could recommend to your recently widowed mother. Seniors will be as happy here and newly single career people and as safe as the 16-18 year old community it is also attracting
Conclusion: A proper, professional site, that deserves to succeed and become one of the greats.
