It's difficult to explain the appeal of Mitch benn's work to those who've never heard it, but I recommend just trying it for yourself. If you can't catch him on BBC Radio 4 (or on old Now Shows on BBC7, both channels available to "Listen Again" at BBC.co.uk) then just buy one of his albums on a whim.
